The final examination consists of the presentation and discussion of a written dissertation containing the results of original work carried out by applying the knowledge and skills acquired during the programme of study. This dissertation is based on a design project or on applied research in either the aeronautical or the space domain. The student will carry out the work under the supervision of one or more tutors, including at least one faculty member belonging to the Master’s Degree Programme.

It is possible to carry out the thesis work as part of an internship in a company or abroad within the framework of international mobility programmes.

Students are invited to contact the Programme’s faculty members to agree on the thesis topic and the modalities of the thesis work. A thesis application must also be submitted to the Chair of the Joint Board of the Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Programmes in Aerospace Engineering using the appropriate form.

The final examination is conducted before a Graduation Committee appointed by the Head of Department, upon proposal of the Degree Programme, from among the members of the Degree Programme Board. On the basis of the candidates’ academic record, and taking the final examination into account, the committee determines the final grade in accordance with the University Academic Regulations.
