Prova finale – laurea triennale

The final examination has the following characteristics:

  1. The final examination and thus the corresponding activity is awarded 3 ECTS (75 total hours).
  2. The final examination is intended to assess the candidate’s ability to carry out, in complete autonomy, an in-depth study of one of the course modules of the Degree Programme, in particular of those that characterise Aerospace Engineering.
  3. The assessment of the final examination is entrusted to a committee composed of the instructor of the module on which the in-depth study is carried out, together with one or two faculty members in related subjects.
  4. The final examination typically consists of a presentation before the committee on the topic chosen for in-depth study.
  5. The final examination is taken after all the course modules of the Bachelor’s Degree Programme have been completed.

The committee assigns a grade, ranging from 18 to 30 with honours, based on the candidate’s ability to investigate, organise, and present the chosen topic. This evaluation is then forwarded to a Graduation Committee appointed by the Head of Department, upon proposal of the Degree Programme, from among the official faculty members of the Programme.

This committee, on the basis of the candidates’ academic record and taking into account the assessment of the final examination, determines the final degree grade.

No public proclamation of the final degree grade is foreseen. The final grade is published on the School’s website and posted on the School’s Official Notice Board in the days immediately following the graduation session, and in any case no later than seven days after that date.

The School of Engineering at the University of Pisa is holding a graduation ceremony at the School of Engineering. For more information, please refer to the relevant page on the School of Engineering website.
